Olivia Mills
Olivia Mills is a textile artist and designer based in Lawrence and Kansas City. She works with fiber the slow way—spinning, knitting, weaving, dyeing, crocheting—all the things your great-grandma probably did, but with a contemporary twist. Her pieces begin with raw materials like wool and cotton, and evolve through a process that’s equal parts problem-solving, experimentation, and full-hearted trial and error. She embraces the mess, knowing that harmony often emerges through the process itself.
Inspired by mystery, texture, and the layers of time, Olivia uses traditional fiber techniques to create contemporary, glamorous, and whimsical art garments. Her work lives at the intersection of tradition and transformation, where past, present, and future all hang out in one beautifully knotted place. She holds a BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute, has shown her work in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the KC metro, teaches weaving workshops, and runs her own line of naturally dyed wool—because she’s just that into yarn.
Kirsten Harwick Mills
Kirsten is a designer, artist, stylist, and creative visionary who blends fashion with soul. The daughter of two artists, she explores the sacred connection between what we wear and who we are becoming—drawing on a lifelong passion for wearable expression and a background in energetic design, Feng Shui, astrology, and personal transformation. Her aesthetic is rooted in unexpected beauty—mixing color, texture, and silhouette in intuitive ways that feel both grounded and ethereal. She gravitates toward natural fibers, layered contrasts, and ethical creation, always seeking to craft garments that reflect the wearer’s inner landscape. In 2024, she debuted her first runway collection under Synergistic Style, the original brand she founded to explore the intersection of personal style and soul. This work laid the foundation for Atelier DreamGirl—a design studio she co-founded with her daughter Olivia as a space where artistry, intention, and self-expression converge.
Now stepping into a new chapter as Olivia takes the design lead for their Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Kirsten continues to anchor the vision of Atelier DreamGirl through thoughtful construction, elegant silhouette, and soulful execution—bringing every dream to life, one stitch at a time. Alongside their creative collaboration, Kirsten is also expanding her Synergistic Style program: a transformational styling experience that blends elemental astrology with wardrobe alignment. Through offerings such as closet edits, personalized style consultations, intuitive shopping support, and her signature three-day style immersion, she helps clients reconnect with their essence, their energy, and the life they’re meant to live.
